Artist presented: Bogna Lewtak-Baczyńska.


Bogna Lewtak-Baczyńska. Her artistic activities include such fields as paiting, stage management and composition. She is also an authoress and a performer. Graduated from fhe Fine Arts Academy in Warsaw, at the Paiting Departament. She is also a graduate of the Stage Management Faculty. In 1977-1992 she was an assistant in the Academy of fine Arts in Warsaw. Then as an theatrical and film assistant she used to work with many distinguished Polish directors, including K.Dejmek, J.Rakowiecki in the Polish Theatre in Warsaw. She also studied acting in Paris, where she completed a stage management training* with L.Pavarotti and S.Ozawa and in the operas Paris Theatre de Chaillot under famous A.Vitez. She participated in over twenty European individual exhibitions and in over collective competitiv exhibitions in the prestigions European galleries, such as Grand Palais in Paris(many times – in the Independent Salon, The French Artists Salon, the Independent Salon, the Nouvelles Realites Salon, Vitry s/Seine, Palexpo in Geneve, in Switzerland, Palexpo in Gandava in Belgium and in Holland. The artists is a winner of many prestigious prizes in the fields of painting and drawing at international competitions in France. She was awarded the literary prizes for her poetry and reports. In her independent spectacles, including texts by F.Falk, K.Zanussi and of her own, took part, among others, K.Janda and A.Ferency. She also made numerous recordings of her own songs(bath music and performance) and of the great polish poetry including K.K.Baczyński, J.B.Zaleski, A.Mickiewicz, J. Kochanowski and St.Wyspiański, with the musicians of the Warsaw Philharmonic. In 2004 Bogna Lewtak-Baczyńska was aworded at all-Poland Bard competiton (her text, music and performance). Since 1994 she has been holding ”The Gallery Author’s and Theatre of Bogna Lewtak-Baczyńska” (The Art centre Well art) in Warsaw, 10 Al.Wojska Polskiego/28 Smiala St. She gave many recitals: at the Warsaw Music Society, at the Ochota Theatre in Warsaw, at the Porion Television, at the Kalambur Theatre in Wroclaw, in Klub Ksiegarza in Warsaw, at the French Song Festival, at the Gotycka Hall of the Czartoryski's Palace in Pulawy, at the Central Library of the Polish Union of the Blind (many times), at the Gallery-Theatre at Zoliborz (many times). As for performances, she appeared at “Piwnica pod Baranami”, in Cracov, TVP, the Polish Radio – Witold Lutoslwski's Hall – the Polish Television at Woronicza St. Together with Barbara Wachowicz, aworded the Gold Microphone, as with the Song and Dance Ensemble of the Warsaw Politechnic, in the Grand Theatre and in Sala Kongresowa in Warsaw. Bogna Lewtak-Baczyńska sing also the songs of Edith Piaf and others famous french and russian singers – Bulat Okudzawa, Zanna Biczewska, she write poetry, scenario, compose music, sing the many recitals, expose her paintings.

Dagny Baczyńska's – biografical note


Dagny Baczyńska – In 2003-2004 she graduated from the class of Prof. Bronislawa Kawalla, at the Piano Departament. In 2004/2005 she completed herc studies at the Theory of Music Departament with top honours. At present she does her part-graduate studies at the Piano Faculty under Prof. A.Stefański. In 2005 she took part in the trial of the XV thy International Frederic Chopin Piano Competition. She was strongly recommended by such distinguished Chopinists and prize-winners as K.Kenner and F.Killian, D.Baczyńska gave a great number of concerts and recitals (including Chopin recitals) in the Royal Castle in Warsaw, in the Warsaw Music Society, in the Pomeranian Princes'Castle in Slupsk, in the Chamber Philharmonic in Warsaw, in Atma-Zakopane, in the Fangora Country House in Powsin, in the Radziejowice Palace, in the Prince's Czartoryski Palace in Pulawy, in the ''Florianka'' Auditorium in Cracow in the Andrew Bobola Sanctuary in Warsaw, in the Chech Centre in Warsaw, at the Music Academies of Warsaw and Bialystok, in the ''Dziekanka'' student Hostel in Warsaw, in the Action Gallery in Warsaw and in the Theatre-Gallery at Zoliborz. Dagny Baczyńska participated in the piano master courses, In 2001-2002 – attended International Course on the interpretation of Chopin's music in Bialystok, under prof. B.Kawalla, prof. T.Chmielewski, prof. Guzek-Soini. She also took part in the interpretation courses of K.Szymanowski's works in Zakopane, under prof. B.Kawalla and in the master classes under prof. W.Mierzanow. In VI and VII (2004-2005) she attended the summer Academy of Music in Cracov, held by prof. K.Kenner. She also attended courses under prof. Herbut, prof. P.Eicher, prof. A.Besses, prof. J.Ribera and prof. O.Krimmer. She took part in the Old Music Classes in Slupsk held by prof. B.Kawalla, prof. L.Kedracki and prof. Stefańska. In Radziejowice she participated in the violin and chamber music classes (Szymanowski in memoriam), held by prof. W.Wilkomirska and prof. T.Chmielewski. She also studied in the Radio France School in Paris. As for her musical ac hievements, Dagny Baczyńska made recordings with the works by F.Chopin, O.Messiaen, F.Liszt, S.Rachmaninow and K.Serocki, and with her own compositions. Besides, she took part in the recordings of the great Polish poetry (some pianistic elements) by A.Mickiewicz, J.Kochanowski and B.Zaleski, together with the Philharmonic Chamber musitians: J.Lewtak, M.Tondera, J.Witkowski, and in the unique recordings commmorated to the 60th universary of the Warsaw ?Uprising. The pianist in question frequently participates in the concerts of contemporary music, among others, on the occassin of prof. W.Rudziński's Jubilee, at the Academy of music in Warsaw, (the first piano performance in January 2002) In 2003 she took part in the first performance of ''Der Ring et Melisande'' by prof. E.Sielicki, together with M.Marzec (violin) and A.Misiak (cello). This concert was also dedicated to prof. W.Rudziński. She also appeared, together with M.Metelska and M.Marzec, in the subsequent performances recordinh of the above piece of music(march 2005), assigned as an authos's recording of the composer.

Maja Baczyńska


Maja Baczyńska - At presant she is Academy of Music in Warsaw student, in the organ class, under Prof. Jerzy Dziubiński (she was is student of secondary school in the organ class under prof. Emilia Dziubińska. She was student in the violin class, under Prof. Danuta Wolnomiejska and Prof. Filutowski). Participated in numerous recordings of the great Polish poetry, together with the musicians of the Philharmonic Chamber Orchestra, as well as in the violin course of the Szymanowski's chamber music, under distinguished violinist Prof. W.Wilkomirska and Prof. T.Chmielewski. She also took part in the Interpretation Cours of Chopin's Music, under Prof. Kawalla and Prof. Chmielewski. Maja is prize-winner at the school competition on Szymanowski's music chamber music, under distingguished violinist W.Wilkomirska and prof. Chmielewski and prof. Drewnowski. Maja is a prize-winner at the school competition on Szymanowski's music. As a violinist she took part in the recital in the Warsaw Music Society on the occasion of the reecord promotion of the poetry by K.K.Baczyński, together with Jerzy Witkowski pianist from the Warsaw Philharmonic. She gave many piano concerts at the Gallery-Theatre at Zoliborz, together with the soloists of the Opera Chamber, the Grand Opera House, the Warsaw Operetka and the Porion Television. As she also appeared in the organ recitals in thek. Szymanowski Organ School, at Legnickie Pole Church, at St.Trinity Church in Warsaw and at Churches in Bialoleka and Garnizonowy in Warsaw. Apart from this she took part in many recordings of the great Polish poetry (violin), and patriotic works (vocal). She made her solo organ record and makes her own music compositions and arrangements. In 2004 she was awarded at the All-Polish Organ Competition in Legnica. Maja Baczyńska is also student of Academy of Film, she compose the music, she write poetry and nowels.
